In U.S. News and World Report’s annual review of
colleges, “Best Colleges 2011” , Hawai`i Pacific University was placed
in Tier 1 in College Category: Regional Universities (West).
Princeton Review rated HPU a “Best Western” college
in its 2011 review of U.S. Colleges, recognizing HPU as one of the
top 121 colleges in the western region.
The 27th edition of the book “Rugg's Recommendations
on the Colleges” recognizes Hawai‘i Pacific University. Fred Rugg
recommends HPU's Business, Communication/Journalism, Computer Science,
Economics, English, Entrepreneurial Studies, Environmental Studies,
International Relations/Studies, Marine Science, Nursing, Pre-Law,

The College Finder, third edition, recognizes HPU

Bloomberg Businessweek magazine recognized HPU as
the “Best Return on Investment of any Undergraduate Degree in Hawai‘i”,
due to our affordable tuition and the monetary success of our graduates.
The 2010 study revealed that HPU’s graduates reaped a 9.2 percent
return on investment, which exceeds the national average of 9.1 percent.

honor of being included in Barron's “Best Buys in College Education”
book. HPU is one of only 247 colleges and universities featured in
the 2010 guide, which selects institutions that provide a high-quality
educational experience at an affordable price. Barron's evaluates
tuition rates, financial aid, student-faculty ratio, freshman profile,
a survey of student satisfaction, and other data in making its decisions.
According to the 2009 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study, HPU
students average debt level is 27% below the national average for private
